3 UP members in Marrickville Contemporary Art Prize

Three UP members have been selected as finalists in the 2010 Marrickville Contemporary Art Prize - Kristine McCarroll, Barbara Licha and Geoff Levitus. Winner to be announced at the opening at Chrissie Cotter Gallery, 10 Pidcock Street, Camperdown on Friday 3 September, 6-9pm.

SHOW US YOUR POLITICS! is a group show of work that is a response to the oppressive world you live in! Dangerous and insightful comments on sexism, racism, homophobia, patriarchy, institutions, capitalism, corporations and environmental destruction! 
Art to inspire, annoy, educate, and empower! “To be truly radical is to make hope possible rather than despair convincing”

Exhibiting artists include Kristine McCarroll (Ultimo Project) , Deborah Kelly (Gallery Barry Keldoulis) and The Kingpins.

The show is open everyday until will be on until Saturday 14 August from 11 am to 6 pm.
