    Off the Wall 2010

Off the Wall will showcase a selection of works from ten of the best up-and-coming artists from a variety of backgrounds working in a broad range of mediums.  Hand-picked from over 300 entries by a panel of judges, comprising leading art experts, Off The Wall is the best place to spot fresh, contemporary talent.

Art Melbourne 2010 will mark the tenth Off The Wall. We have helped over 220 artists gain representation since 2006 and have helped launch some very successful careers by spotting significant emerging talent. This really is the Art World equivalent of “So you think you can dance”!

The selection panel for Art Melbourne 2010:
    • James Makin - Director James Makin Gallery
    • Ken McGregor - Art manager and author
    • Jane Scott - Director Tarrawarra Museum of Art
    • David Larwill - Artist
    • Alex McCulloch - Director Metro Gallery
    • Cash Brown - Artist, curator and consultant

The only criterion for selection is the artist must not have formal representation in the city of the event in which they apply; all mediums and age groups are eligible.

Off The Wall is generously supported by Art Almanac, who provide stunning colour catalogues at each event and advertise the event in their essential Australian gallery guide.  The 2010 Off The Wall is dedicated to the loving memory of Janice McCulloch, who not only was the Editor in Chief of Art Almanac and great supporter of Off The Wall and all of the artists involved, she was also an extremely avid collector of emerging Australian art, a wonderful mother and very dear friend.
